Madison's Great Holiday Bake-Off Challenge! (2006)
Teens and Tweens! You can enter Madison's Great Holiday Bake-Off Challenge. Prepare your favorite holiday goodie (pies, cookies, cake, candy, etc.) and bring it to the Madison Public Library on Tuesday, December 12th at 6:00 pm. All entries will be judged and prizes will be awarded. Everyone in grades 5th through 12th is invited to participate.
Eligibility:
Must be within the Teen/Tween READ age range. (In grades 5th through 12th).
Entries must be prepared at home and submitted to the Madison Public Library Meeting Room on Tuesday, December 12th between 6-6:15 pm. Judging by our panel of judges will start at 6:15pm.
Entry Specifications:
The entry may be an original recipe, or it may be a recipe you got out of a book, off the internet, from a magazine, etc. It doesn’t matter where the recipe came from, all that matters is that YOU made it!
Entries must be prepared ahead of time and ready to serve when you arrive. Please bring your own serving utensils. The library will provide paper plates, napkins, and eating utensils.
Each entry must be able to serve at least 12 servings. If you wish to share more than 12, please feel free to do so! We will have an audience of tasters, who will vote for a “Taster’s Choice” award, so keep that it mind when preparing.
Please have a typed copy of your recipe attached to your entry sheet for the judges to examine. If your recipe is not secret, please bring more copies of it to share with our audience!
Contestants may submit as many entries as they like.
Misc:
Judges will be looking for items that excel in taste, presentation/appearance, creativity, and extreme holiday goodness!
When is my contest entry due?
Date: December 12, 2006
Time: 6:00 pm
Place: Madison Library
