Music at Madison: Jetpack UK (2006)
A family-friendly music event brought to you by Friends of the Madison Public Library
Date: Saturday, September 23rd, 2006
Time: 2:00 p.m.
Place: Madison Public Library
The band Jetpack UK will be rocking the Madison Public Library on Saturday September 23rd at 2 p.m. This event is free and open to all ages.
Jetpack UK, a Nashville based band known for their squeaky clean lifestyle, has a message: you can be a college graduate, be drug- free, and rock at the same time! Jetpack UK is featured in a children's book called Inside a Rock Band and at the Madison Public Library they will speak about their experiences playing in a rock band. Of course they will also rock the library meeting room with many of their songs from their newest CD, The Art of Building a Moat.
What the critics are saying: Music Row Magazine calls Jetpack UK "Sassy, Brit-pop vocals, churning guitars and a killer rhythm section drive this impossibly catchy bopper straight through your brain". Nashville Scene Magazine says "The Art of Building a Moat is a well-crafted mélange of bouncy hooks and sunny melodies-- pop songwriting by the book". Also, Jetpack UK was voted "Best Band Not Signed" by Nashville Scene Magazine's "Best of Nashville" 2005 issue.
