HMCPL receives grant from Huntsville Hospital

The HMCPL is a recipient of the 2009-2010 Huntsville Hospital Community Health Initiative Grant! The Library will use this money to create an attractive collection of information and resources available online, in the library, and in the community which will address the physical, emotional, and mental health of today's teens. The project will be named The Pulse to echo the idea of monitoring and maintaining the health of the Madison County teen population while creating a catchphrase for the teens to use. The Pulse's goals and objectives: increase the awareness and access of information about healthy living to teens, to serve as a forum for teens to positively interact, to increase the participation at healthy teen library events, and to promote community partnerships with organizations concerned about teen health.
