Young Professionals' Book Club kicks off with Slaughterhouse Five
Slaughterhouse Five Kicks Off Young Professionals' Book Club
The Young Professionals' book club is devoted to exploring and passionately discussing provocative, fun, bizarre, controversial and just plan awesome books. Come join the conversation and meet other smart people who share your interests and challenge your opinions. We’ll be kicking off our Young Professionals book club with one of the coolest classics ever written: Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut. Whether you’re already a devout Vonnegut fan, or are just discovering the author whose unique blend of science fiction and dark comedy changed the landscape of American political satire, you're invited to come share your thoughts and opinions about this influential novel with other intelligent professionals in our community.
The first meeting is August 18, 2010 at 7 p.m in meeting room "C" at the Huntsville Madison County Main branch on Monroe street.
Bonus: delicious coffee generously provided by Huntsville’s own Angel’s Island Coffee, plus you get some delicious cookies too.
