We might not have a turtle dove, but we've got fun things to do!
Spend some of your holidays with the 12 branches of the Huntsville Madison County Public Library. Here's a list of some fun holiday events.
Festival of Tress @ Main
December 1-27 during regular business hours
Main branch, 915 Monroe Street
Come enjoy the trees at the Library. Civic organizations are showcasing their groups with cleverly decorated trees!
Gingerbread Man Puppet Show
Bailey Cove Public Library, 1409 Weatherly Plaza
Children will love the classic tale of the Gingerbread man and his holiday adventure.

Children’s Make and Take Craft Day
December 4, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Bailey Cove Public Library, 1409 Weatherly Plaza
Kids to make classic holiday crafts and share with their family for the holidays
Holiday Open House & Silent Tree Auction
December 6-10, during regular business hours
Tillman D. Hill Public Library 131 Knowledge Drive, Hazel Green
Kids get to make tree ornaments for the library tree and there will be a silent auction for adorable Christmas trees.
Polar Express Pajama Party
December 7, 6:30 p.m. (limited reservations)
Madison Public Library, 130 Plaza Blvd.
Come dressed in your pajamas and hear a reading of the Polar Express. We'll have cookies and hot cocoa for our guests and will hand out Christmas bells, too! All children will receive a wrapped book as a gift, and can have their picture made beside the Christmas tree. This event is replacing “Breakfast with Santa”. Please RSVP by calling 256-461-0046. Reservations are required.

Painted Melodies- from jazz to torch songs to holiday classics this is sure to get everyone ready for the holiday season.
Family Open House: Make and Take Craft Day
December 11 from 10 a.m. to noon

Come one, come all for Madison Public Library's first ever make and take family craft day! While supplies last, families can help one another construct fun and free holiday ornaments!
Christmas Open House

Holiday Open House and Tree Trimming Party

Eleanor E. Murphy Branch Library, 7910 Charlotte Drive
Join us for a Holiday Open House and Tree Trimming Party at the Eleanor Murphy Library -- fun for the whole family! We will start with a joyous reading of holiday favorites; Are You Grumpy, Santa? and T’was the Night Before Christmas. We will then invite everyone to participate in decorating our Library Tree with beautiful ornaments created by the children of our community. Enjoy refreshments, hot mulled cider, smiling faces, and holiday cheer. This event is sponsored by the Eleanor Murphy Friends of the Library.
