Find "Happiness" at the library!
Please join us on November 21 and December 16, as we explore the mysteries of happiness from two unique perspectives, in a special two-part lecture series just in time for the holidays.
What is happiness? Is it possible to truly attain? And if so, how? These are a few of the questions we will be examining at each of these fascinating events.
In the first installment on Sunday, November 21 at 2 pm, we are honored to host Dr. Gitendra Uswatte from the University of Alabama, Birmingham as he presents fascinating insights from the field of psychology, about how we perceive and experience happiness.
On Thursday, December 16 at 6:30 pm, Dr. Erik Angner from the University of Alabama, Birmingham will enlighten us about what great philosophical thinkers can teach us about the nature of happiness, and people's constant struggle to attain it.
Both events will take place in the second floor events room of the Main branch.
These events are free, and open to the public. Please contact Luisa at lmorenilla [at] hmcpl [dot] org with any questions about these events.
