Food for Fines Kicks Off December 6

Save on your fines while helping others.

Huntsville Madison County Public Library kicks off our Food for Fines campaign December 6.  This program helps patrons pay-off their fines with donations of non-perishable food.  Food for Fines runs Monday, December 6 through Sunday, December 12.   For each non-perishable food item donated we'll forgive $1 in overdue fines. The only exception is Ramen noodles. Four packages will equal $1.  Library branches will only accept new, unopened cans and boxes of non-expired food.  Charges for lost or damaged items can not be waived. This year's beneficiary of donated food is Mental Health Intensive Case Management Rural Access Network For Growth Enhancement or MHICM-RANGE.
