We Wish You a "Green" Christmas!
Find out how to enjoy the holiday season even more, while being kind to the earth!
Just in time for the holiday season, we are very pleased to host professional ecologist and active member of Huntsville's Operation Green Team, Soos Weber, as she presents “The Greening of Christmas: How to reduce your carbon footprint and enjoy the holidays even more.”
At this informative and engaging event you will learn about:
- The pros and cons of an artificial vs. a live Christmas tree.
- Recycling memorable tree decorations
- Eco-friendly holiday greeting cards and wrapping paper
- Giving gifts which are made sustainably
- What to do with all the waste after holiday parties
- Throwing re-gifting parties
- How you and your family can place greater value on quality time, than on material "stuff"
Plus even more eco-friendly, (and budget friendly) fun ideas!
This event will take place on Tuesday, November 16 at 7 pm in the second floor events room in the Main branch.
This event is free and open to the public.
Please contact Luisa at lmorenilla [at] hmcpl [dot] org with any questions about this event.
