Christmas Holiday Concerts @ Main

We're kicking off the Christmas holiday with two special concerts featuring big band music, and secular and sacred holiday pieces!  Join us on December 3 for the U.S. Army Materiel Command Band and the Rocket City Jazz Orchestra - and on December 8 for the Oakwood Academy's quartet and choir. 

Saturday, December 3: U.S. Army Materiel Command Band and the Rocket City Jazz Orchestra

A very special holiday concert featuring an evening of 30s and 40s music and dance by two of the most popular big bands in the Huntsville area.

This event is free and open to the public, 7-9PM in the Main Library Atrium.

Thursday, December 8: Oakwood Academy's quartet and choir

The quartet, known as Aspire, will play a varied program of secular and sacred Christmas pieces. The Oakwood Adventist Academy (High School) Choir will sing two stand alone pieces - "Jingle Bells" and a carol medley and "The Carol of the Bells" and Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" with the quartet.

The concert is free and open to the public.  Showtime begins at 6 PM in the Main Library Atrium.
