Sitting up with the Dead
Join us on August 5 from 6pm-11pm for another great Heritage Room program!
The Heritage Room will be hosting its second of three ‘Sitting Up with the Dead’ programs on Friday, August 5. The program will run from 6 PM to 11 PM and cost $22.50 per person (includes box meal).
The Speaker for the evening is John Rankin and his topic will be land record research. His presentation will cover the areas of land and cemetery records and their place in genealogical research. He has spent countless hours not only pouring through cemetery and land records but aiding, in many cases, in preservation projects and historical research to further the knowledge of local inhabitants in the Huntsville and Madison County areas. A question and answer session will follow. Door prizes are back and will be drawn during the evening.
Sign-Up is now available online at http://store.hmcpl.org/. Registration deadline is August 3. For questions or more information, contact the Heritage Room at 256.532.5969.
