Non-Profit 201 Mini Conference
A half day workshop for non-profit professionals & entrepreneurs Friday, October 14
Join us at the HMCPL Main Branch Library for Non-Profit 201!
Non-Profit 201 was designed based on input from attendees at "Non-Profit 101" in spring, 2011. This half-day workshop provides more information about the nuts and bolts of non-profit management. Both current non-profit professionals and individuals thinking of starting a non-profit will benefit from hearing these dynamic speakers.

Cathy Puett Miller, Community Impact Coordinator for United Way Ms Miller will provide an overview of the needs of Madison County and discuss how the non-profit community can work collaboratively to meet those needs.
- 10:30-11:30 a.m.
William Jamar, Alabama Department of Revenue Mr. Jamar will detail tax issues important to non-profits.
- 11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Russell Jackson, Chief Operating Officer, Alabama Association of Nonprofits A strong development strategy is vital to the longevity of any non-profit. Mr. Jackson will discuss ways to develop a well-rounded plan.
