Uh, oh!  We've done it again!  Another cool product by HMCPL!

Meet the Playaway View:

Education meets entertainment with the first all-in-one video player, exclusive to libraries! The Playaway View is pre-loaded with multiple videos, so your kids can view great content wherever they go.

Each view contains multiple videos from quality studios like PBS Kids, Weston Woods, Tumble Books, and National Geographic.   Check with your Librarian to see what titles are available!

Where can I find a Playaway View?

Currently, Playaway Views can be found at the HMCPL Main, Madison, Bailey Cove, Monrovia, and Eleanor Murphy Branch Libraries. 

How do I check one out? 

Simply visit one of the Libraries mentioned above.  Browse their collection of Playaway Views and select a title to check out. 

***Playaway Views cost a little more to replace than the average Library item.  As a result, there are some added requirements in the Check Out process.  Only adults (16 and over) may borrow Playaway Views.   You must have a valid license and library card in good standing to check out a Playaway View.   Your contact information will be verified at time of check out.  You must sign a User Agreement the first time (and only the first time) you check out a Playaway View. 

Borrowing Rules and Fees for Playaway Views:

• Adults (16 and over) may borrow Playaway Views.
• Valid license and library card in good standing required.
• Borrower contact information confirmed at checkout.
• Signed User Agreement required before first Playaway View is checked out.
• Patrons may borrow a maximum of one Playaway View per card.
• Loan Period: 7 days
• One renewal
• No holds
• Overdue Fines:  $1.00/day ($20.00 maximum)
• Charging plug replacement fee:  $15.00
• Playaway View Replacement fee: $100
• Playaway View must be returned to the same location it was checked out from. 
• Playaway View may not be put in the Book Drop.
