Weave a Melon Basket at Madison

Learn how to weave a basket by signing up for a six-hour workshop on December 2 at the Madison Public Library.  Reserve your space in this class now as seating is limited!

Weave a Melon/Egg Basket

• Six-hour workshop on December 2, 9am to 3pm at Madison Public Library.
• Supply Fee:  $14.
• Maximum of 12 students.
• Open to adults and youth ages 14 and up.

Make an 8” melon basket in class.  Learn how to handle reed, make a god’s eye and shape a ribbed basket.  Both dyed reed and seagrass will be available for decorating your basket.  Those who have made a melon basket before will have the option of making an egg/fanny basket.

No basket making experience is required!  Basket making is wet work, so wear old clothes and bring a towel.  The leader will bring all the tools and other supplies you’ll need to use during the workshop.

Lastly, please bring a sack lunch.
