Welcome to HMCPL Research Guides!
Need help researching a topic, but you don’t know where to start? The Reference & Adult Services Department is here to help.
Even in the age of smartphones, apps, and savvy search engines, researching an unfamiliar topic can be difficult. Every day Reference Librarians help people of all ages work on various types of research from trivia to dissertations.
Now, you can access research help from HMCPL Reference Librarians 24/7. Reference staff members create research guides on a wide range of topics, providing links to library and community resources as well as free Internet resources.
HMCPL Research Guides can be viewed at http://guides.hmcpl.org. Most guides are interactive, allowing users to rate resources and add comments. You may sign up for e-mail alerts when new guides are published. If you would to request a topic for a guide, e-mail askus [at] hmcpl [dot] org.
