Materiel Command Band returns to library

The Four Star Jazz Orchestra of the U.S. Army Materiel Command Band and the Rocket City Jazz Orchestra will present an evening of big band music and dancing on Thursday, April 26, at 6 p.m. in the atrium of the Main Library.

The concert happens on the 25th anniversary of the day the building opened to the public in 1987.

Other performances in the Thursday Evening Concerts at the Library series include Microwave Dave Gallaher playing classic blues guitar on May 10 and Celtic band SlipJig on May 24. The annual Dancing with the Library Stars event begins on June 7 with the big band sounds of Sentimental Journey and concludes on June 21 with the Moondust Big Band. All concerts begin at 6 p.m. in the atrium.
