Hot summer reading nights!

The library’s Summer Reading programs go nocturnal for 2012 with Dream Big READ for children, Own the Night for teens and Reading Under a Starry Night for adults.

Pick up a Summer Reading kit at any of our 12 library locations beginning Tuesday, May 29. The reading fun starts Friday, June 1, and continues through July 20 for children and teens and until Labor Day for adults. Each library location will have special programs for all ages. Check with your local library or visit the program websites for Children & Teens and Adults, for more details.

The popular Readers to the Rescue program focuses on a threat to our bat population. This year, our charity partner is the National Speleological Society’s White Nose Syndrome Research Fund. WNS is a fungus that grows on bats as they hibernate, causing them to wake early and starve.
