Meet ALISON in Madison
State Senator Bill Holtzclaw will introduce local residents to ALISON, the short name for the Alabama Legislative Information System Online on Monday, August 27, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Madison Public Library, 130 Plaza Blvd.
This system is open to the public and is used to track bills through the legislative process.
"ALISON is fairly easy to navigate, but it has a couple of quirks that new users often need assistance with," Holtzclaw said. "I’ve been able to assist several people in navigating ALISON and have decided to host a couple of work sessions this summer (one in Limestone County and one in Madison County) to walk residents through the system. At this session I will show residents how to follow legislation from start to finish – to the point it is signed into law. I encourage you to not only attend the work session but bring your laptop and follow along as we navigate the system together."
The workshop is offered to the public free of charge.
