December Delights at Monrovia

December is chock full of holiday activities at Monrovia Library!

Our Lunch and Love Romance Book Club is reading An Outlaw's Christmas by Linda Lael Miller.  They will meet for lunch on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Las Trojas restaurant at Hwy. 53 and Research Park Blvd. for this Christmas-themed book discussion.

 Preschool story time meets every Monday and Thursday and will go through Dec. 17 with a short break for the holidays until Jan. 7th.  Themes for story time include travel, snowmen and will finish with a special Christmas puppet show on Dec. 17.  

Celebrate the season at our children's Christmas party for all ages on Tuesday, Dec. 4 starting at 6:00 p.m. featuring crafts, stories and songs.

Adults can bring out their "crafty" side making Christmas ornaments from new and recycled materials on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m.  Cost is $5.  Call 256-489-3392 to sign up.

Home School Story Time for Kindergarten through Third grade will feature "Christmas Around the World" on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 1:00 p.m.  Call 256-489-3392 to sign up or email chewitt [at] hmcpl [dot] org.

The Tuesday Night Book Club will meet at 6:30 on Dec. 11 (instead of Dec. 18)  to discuss A Redbird Christmas by Fannie Flagg.  To celebrate Christmas they are meeting at a book club member's home and having a gift exchange as well.  Please contact 256-489-3392 for more information.
