Prepare for stormy weather

Learn how to prepare for bad weather and get a chance to win great weather-related items on Thursday, March 14, at 6:30 p.m. at the Monrovia Public Library.

Representatives from the National Weather Service will talk about ways to prepare for dangerous weather. The Monrovia Friends of the Library will give away an "Everything About Weather" basket that includes a weather radio, flashlight, rain jacket and dozens more weather-related items.

Tickets to win the basket are on sale now for $1 each at the Monrovia Circulation desk. All money raised goes towards the Monrovia Library Building Fund to help fund a children's addition to the library. Other door prizes will also be given away at the weather program sponsored by Monrovia Friends of the Library.
