There are lots more fun programs planned for kids in the Main Library's Youth Services department. Here are just a few:
Birthday Party Storytime (Preschool)
Monday March 11 @ 10 a.m.
Its Ms. Lexie’s birthday and we’re using that as an excuse to PARTY!!! We’ll read books about birthdays, sing songs about birthdays, make party hats, and eat cake. You won’t want to miss this Birthday Party for EVERYONE!
Preview of Alabama Youth Ballet’s Sleeping Beauty (All Ages)
Thursday March 21 @ 6:30 p.m.
Join our Pajamatime Storytime group for a preview of Alabama Youth Ballet’s Sleeping Beauty. Dancers will show off costumes, talk about the story, and show some of the beautiful ballet moves from the production.
Virtual Field Trip: Spring Break Beach Trip! (Grades 4-8)
Tuesday March 23 @ 3:30 p.m.
Join us as we take a Virtual Field Trip to the beach. We’ll visit the Gulf Islands National Seashore that stretches from Mississippi to Florida. We’ll learn all about the plants, animals, and ecosystems that live at the beach. National Park Service Rangers will also discuss how the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill has impacted the Gulf beaches.
