Open House at Main

We will celebrate National Library Week with an open house at the Main Library, 915 Monroe St., on Wednesday, April 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. The dedication ceremony for the new Family Computing Center on the second floor will be held at 2 p.m.

We have several programs planned to celebrate National Library Week. Here are a few:

Tuesday, April 16:

Goodreads Meet-up. Meet like-minded book-lovers and learn about the Library’s Goodreads Group from 6-7:30 p.m. at Straight to Ale Brewery, 3200 Leeman Ferry Road, behind Matrix Gym. Beer/dinners available for purchase. For details, contact Sophie Young at 256-532-2362.

Thursday, April 18:

Video Chat with Author Carla Gunn.  Canadian author Carla Gunn discusses her critically acclaimed novel “Amphibian” in this intimate video chat from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the second floor events room of the Main Library. 256-532-2362.
