Sponsor a library holiday tree

We're planning our annual Festival of Trees display at the Main Library downtown, 915 Monroe St. This event is an opportunity for community nonprofit organizations to promote themselves and their events.

If you would like to request a spot, please send an email to Sophie Young, syoung [at] hmcpl [dot] org, that includes your organization’s name and phone number and email address for your organization’s representative. Requests must be made in writing via email. Please allow 48 hours for confirmation that your organization will have a spot. We hope to accommodate everyone who would like to participate, but please keep in mind that tree locations are limited, and requests are considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

This year we will assign spots according to a lottery system on November 8.  We feel that this is the fairest way; it gives everyone equal opportunity for any particular location.

Please plan to set up your tree on Saturday, November 30 through Wednesday, December 4. The trees must be picked up from the Library no later than Sunday, January 5.

Trees must be artificial but can be any size.  We encourage you to decorate your tree with brochures or flyers describing your organization and promoting any upcoming events. We want this tree to provide you with a lot of publicity – keep in mind, we have hundreds of patrons coming through our door each day! Please don’t place anything of value on the trees, as we cannot guarantee its security.

Thank you for sharing the spirit of the holiday season with the patrons at the main branch of Huntsville Madison County Public Library.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to hearing from you.
