How to do Things: Be Weather Safe

National Weather Service meteorologist David Nadler will tell you how you can always be prepared for the unexpected, and keep your family safe in severe weather, at this informative program on August 23.Bring your weather and safety-related questions to this informative and engaging program. It's family friendly, and free to the public.   Mr. Nadler will be giving away cool (color) 11x17 cloud charts as well as pens, pencils and even temporary weather tattoos for the kids.

Sign up for our free computer classes where you can bring your own computer and learn how to use it better.   This two part class will review the basics of your computer.  If you do not have your own laptop, we  have a limited number that you can use during class, ask about it during sign up.

How to do Things: Weave a Basket

Join us for this fun and creative craft class on August 9.

We'll each weave a basket on a 5” x 8” wooden base.  Baskets are pretty, and practical, any time of the year! In this class you’ll learn how to handle basket reed and how to shape a basket.   No basket making experience is required.

Basket making is wet work, so wear old clothes and bring a towel.  The instructor will bring all the tools and other supplies you’ll need to use during the workshop. However, we ask that you please bring $5 to cover the cost of supplies. Read more about How to do Things: Weave a Basket
