School Supply Drive

HMCPL is collecting basic school supplies for  families in some of the hardest hit areas of rural Alabama.

The need for school and classroom supplies is greater than ever due to the storms and the struggling economy.

HMCPL is proud to partner with RocketCityMom.com to aid those families still feeling the effects of the April storms, by collect basic school supplies which will then be donated to both Keep Volunteering.org and The Josh Willingham Foundation for distribution to families in some of the hardest hit areas of rural Alabama. Join us on August 5 from 6pm-11pm for another great Heritage Room program!

The Heritage Room will be hosting its second of three ‘Sitting Up with the Dead’ programs on Friday, August 5.  The program will run from 6 PM to 11 PM and cost $22.50 per person (includes box meal). Read more about Sitting up with the Dead

Harry Potter Party at Madison

Join Madison Public Library as we celebrate the cinematic conclusion of Harry Potter on Friday, July 15 from 9am-4pm.

Come early in the day and create crafts based on the classes offered at Hogwarts. Swing by in the middle of the day, and participate in trivia or show off your costume. WORLD BEAUTY:  HENNA ART

As part of the One World, Many Stories Summer Reading program,  the Madison Branch will be exploring how beauty is represented around the globe with this special program for ages 13 and older.   Participants will learn traditional Henna art designs while they create their own henna hand art, make their own scented lotions and more on July 12 at 6:00PM at the Madison Branch!
