This year's English Author Tea will feature Chaucer

This special annual event will be on Feburary 5. We are currently accepting reservations.

Put on your prettiest hat and come enjoy a catered traditional English tea service, as you listen to UAH English Professor Joseph Taylor's fascinating presentation on the  “Father of English Poetry,” Geoffrey Chaucer.

How to do Things!: Yoga on January 25

This free, introductory level class is the perfect opportunity to discover a new healthy habit for a new, healthy year!

Lisa Kennedy, a certified yoga instructor teaching at the UAH Fitness Center, will introduce us to the practice of yoga.  Stress reduction and improved balance, flexibility and strength are a few of the many potential benefits of yoga cited by the Mayo Clinic.

Healthy Habits Forum on January 22

Get off to a strong start on your healthiest year yet! The Help Yourself to Health Initiative presents a special program about how you can get fit and enjoy a healthier lifestyle.

A Huntsville Hospital medical professional and a local fitness expert will speak about how you can start forming healthy habits that will make a big difference.

Author John F. Baker Jr. begins our Black History Month celebration on January 29

Baker's beautifully written book The Washingtons of Wessyngton Plantation:  Stories of My Family’s Journey to Freedom has been hailed as “a groundbreaking work of history and a deeply personal journey of discovery.”

Our Black History Month celebration in February kicks off with a special appearance by author John F. Baker Jr. , on January 29.

The Huntsville-Madison County Public Library's archivist, Ranee’ Pruitt, credits the book as being "better than Alex Haley's Roots.”

Digital Age Job Seekers Series

Our last session in this series is this Thursday at 9:30 am and 5:30 pm in the Main branch's second floor events room. It will cover how to master the job interview and how to "dress for success!"

Library hours for the Christmas holiday
