Local Authors Expo is September 18

Local authors gather to inspire and share at Sister to Sister Brother to Brother Book Club event!

On September 18, Ms. Nicole Schroeder, Mr. Chris Love and Ms. T.W. Spalding will headline the Sister to Sister Brother to Brother Book Club Local Authors Expo.  From 2 - 5 p.m.  Our guest authors will be at the Huntsville Madison County Main branch's auditorium to discuss their latest works, share insights and tips on how to get published. New Bench Graces Main Branch Entry

The main branch of the Huntsville Madison County Public Library has a new bench in our entry way. 

The talented students at East Clinton Elementary did a wonderful job decorating the bench. We'd like to give a special thanks to the Downtown 47 organization for sponsoring bench. Library hours for Labor Day weekend

Movies: Classic Hitchcock

Monday Night Movies will show three of Alfred Hitchcock's most memorable films during September:

  • Monday, September 13: Strangers on a Train (1951) starring Farley Granger and Robert Walker
  • Monday, September 20: Rear Window (1954) starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly
  • Monday, September 27: Psycho (1960) starring Janet Leigh and Anthony Perkins

Romance Writers Share the Love August 27!

They've made you sigh, they've made you smile - now you get to meet them!

On Friday, August 27 dozens of romance writers will be at the Huntsville Madison County Public Library's main branch at 915 Monroe Street.  Authors from a variety of romantic genres will be on hand from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. to discuss their works and autograph their books. Madison Public Library Welcomes "Mockingjay" with Book Release Party

Get ready to be assigned to your district at the Madison Public Library's book release party for "Mockingjay".
