Mathematical! Adventure Time premieres at Madison Library's Fandom Fest, this Thursday, September 11th, at 6:00. This will immediately follow the Young Adult Book Club in the YA room. Watch Finn and Jake on their adventures, rock out with Marceline, or observe totally lame antics with Lumpy Space Princess. Oh. My. Glob. 

YA Book Club at Madison: Matched

Madison's YA Book Club meets on a special day this month. This Thursday, September 11th, teens can come to the Madison Library's YA room to discuss this month's selection: Matched by Ally Condie. We'll discuss Cassia's dillema, the Society, and much more. Stick around afterwards for Fandom Fest at 6:00!

 

Mad Scientists - CHEMICAL REACTIONS

Hands on science experiments for 3rd-5th graders on 2nd Thursdays @ 4pm at the Madison Public Library. We'll explore chemical reactions at our September meeting.

Garden Rangers - Build a Scarecrow

Join us on Thursday (August 7th) at 4pm for our next session of Garden Rangers (which now meets on 1st Thursdays @ 4pm) at the Madison Public Library. 

We'll create a scarecrow work of art (inspired by the story of Peter Pan) to be on display at the Hunstville Botanical Gardens. RSVP at mallen [at] hmcpl [dot] org

Introduction to Inkle Weaving: Weave an Inkle Creature

Join instructor, Crystal Kitchens, to learn how to weave on an inkle loom, which can be used to make narrow bands. No weaving or sewing experience is required. In class you will weave a band and learn to make a creature with a bit of hand sewing. Bring decorations such as fiber, yarn, ribbon, beads, etc. to give your creature a personality. The leader will bring all the other tools and supplies you'll need to use during the workshop. Read more »
