Teen Writer's Group December Meeting

It is a truth universally acknowledged that teens with a pen, paper and a story to tell must be in want of a writer's group. The Teen Writer's Group of the Madison Library will be holding its next meeting on Thursday, December 5th at 5:00 pm. Topic to discuss will be story planning. Young writers are encouraged to bring pieces they've already written. This is a free event, but please RSVP to Doom (rdoom [at] hmcpl [dot] org) or 256-461-0046!

Jr Readers - Nutcracker on Ice

How to Avoid Being a Holiday Victim

Stay safe this holiday season! Lt. Wayne Kamus, of the Madison Police Department, will be at the Madison Library on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 1:00 p.m. Lt. Kamus will give a presentation with valuable tips on how to avoid being the victim of a holiday crime.

A New Perspective on Alzheimer's and Dementia Care

Are you caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's or Dementia? We can help! Christy Todd, Community Relations Coordinator from Senior Helpers, will be giving a presentation with a positive approach to caring for family members with these diseases. Her free seminar will include information on: 

  • How and when to seek help from a physician
  • The difference between Alzheimer's and dementia
  • How different parts of the brain are affected by dementia
  • Techniques to provide effective care

Teen Masquerade Ball Prep at the Madison Library

The 5th Annual Masquerade Ball is fast approaching. This year's theme is Cosplay! Don't know what cosplay is? Spanish Storytimes

The Madison Public Library continues its once-a-month Spanish story time on Monday, September 9th, at 10:30 a.m.
