Register your Book Club!
Register your Book Club in the Huntsville Library Foundation's Book Club Registry for a chance to win a special hosted club meeting!
The Huntsville Library Foundation wants to support the local book clubs in the Huntsville-Madison County and surrounding areas. To encourage more participation and interaction in book clubs, they have launched a Book Club Registry online to help keep readers up-to-date on the latest literary news and events of interest at the library!
Book Clubs of all sizes and focuses are encouraged to register their group online at http://www.huntsvillelibraryfoundation.org/bookclub. Book Clubs that register with the Foundation prior to September 1 will be entered into a drawing to win a dinner party for their group hosted at private home for up to 12 people.
What Makes a Book Club?
A book club is a collection of readers who participate in the regular discussion of books. It doesn't matter what you read, how often you meet or who is in the group. All that matters is that you read, get together and then discuss. Book clubs meet for breakfast, lunch, dinner and all times in between. They can be with life-long friends, neighbors, co-workers or strangers who become friends.
For more information, please contact Amy Gandy at agandy [at] hmcpl [dot] org or (256)532-5954.
(**Must be 18 years of age to be eligible. Time and date of dinner to be mutually decided by winner and Foundation representative. Entries must be received by September 1st, 2011. One winner will be drawn. Information gathered for the registry will not be shared with others)
