Friends of the Library Hertha Heller Forum: US Black Army Units, 1907 and 1909a

Bill Emerson will present US Black Army Units, 1907 and 1909. After the Civil War, the Regular Army had only two Cavalry regiments and two Infantry units of Black troops. These units are not well known by University nor by Army historians, thus, Mr. Emerson's research is original work and a timely topic for Black History Month. This forum will be held in the Main Library auditorium at 2 pm and it is free.
