Crystal Kitchens of Huntsville Fiber Guild shows this ancient method of constructing a fabric with natural elasticity.  We’ll make a small drawstring bag in class.  The fabric appears similar to netting.  Sprang is closely related to braiding, and is done with threads stretched on a frame.  The fabric builds from both ends toward the middle.

Bring an all wire coat hanger to make the frame, and size 10 crochet cotton.  No weaving experience is required.
