Elementary, dear patrons

We’ve read and discussed The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes throughout the month of April. Join us today, April 30, for the final programs in Community Read 2013: the film Murder by Decree from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Main Library, and Sherlockian Shirts Craft for teens at 6 p.m. at the Madison Library. Admission is free.

Who Was William Shakespeare?

 The Main Library will be hosting Dr. Jeff Nelson of UAHuntsville for the talk "Who Was William Shakespeare?" in the 2nd floor events room. We will also be serving cake and tea to honor Shakespeare's 450th birthday. Come join the celebration!

Movie Nights at Madison

Two classic movies will be shown at the Madison Library as part of our month long Big Read Celebration. The theme for this year is Shakespeare. On April 14 at 6:00 P.M..., "Kiss Me Kate" will be aired in the meeting room. This movie is not rated. On April 21 at 5:30 P.M..., "Shakespeare in Love" will be shown. It is rated R. Don't miss out on movie nights!

Dr. Hugh Long presents "An Introduction to Shakespeare's Theatrical Swordplay"
