A Wicked Night Out at Bandito Burrito Southside (Kickoff Event)

In partnership with local bars, Stem & Stein, The Nook, Bandito Burrito Southside, the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library will be kicking off their Community Wide Read for the book Wicked City by Ace Atkins. Local brewery, Straight to Ale, has created the “Wicked City” porter with the book’s setting and time period in mind and the brew will be on tap for bar patrons to purchase.

A Wicked Time with Ace

Ace Atkins, author of Wicked City and Pulitzer Prize nominee, will discuss his inspiration for developing the story and his process for writing the book. Refreshments will be served and author book signing will follow.

The Posey Peep Show, the resident burlesque troupe, at the Flying Monkey Arts Center will offer a one-of-a-kind rendition of their burlesque show based on the book Wicked City.
