Texting -- using telephones to communicate verbally -- has its own language which is a timesaver for those in the know and a mystery for those who aren't. Come learn to be part of the "in" crowd at this one-hour discussion.

Tech Topics are a regular series of discussions about computing topics. There will be no hands-on work, but you should have basic Internet experience. Class will be held in the second floor Events Room.

Online Job Application Skills

A class to help those who must apply for jobs online to learn more about what is required and how to apply. Participants will receive a sample job application with information that may be required, and once they've gathered it, they can sign up for personalized assistance from a librarian to complete an actual job application onine. Keyboarding, Internet, and PC skills are helpful for the personalized lab portion of the class.

Job Sites on the Internet

This class covers interviewing skills, résumés, cover letter tips and online job websites. Bring your résumé on a flash drive (or email it to yourself as an attachment) and you will be able to post it to a job site. You should already know: Basic PC Skills and Basic Internet.
