Meet the Authors: Frye Gaillard and Sena Jeter Naslund

This double-header author event features Frye Gaillard, who discusses his latest book, The Books That Mattered: A Reader’s Memoir.  In this collection of essays, Frye pays tribute to the writings that enriched and altered his life.  Frye also talks about Sena Jeter Naslund, whose novels Ahab’s Wife: Or, The Star-Gazer and Adam & Eve are included in the memoir, and he introduces this Southern author favorite.  Sena then carries the discussion over to her own formidable work.

Huntsville historian Pat Tumminello discusses her book, A Mighty Fortress of Faith, describing the 150-year history of the Catholic Church in Huntsville.  Pat describes the discovery of the founding members and including some Civil War History, as well as the formative years of the church in Huntsville and the interaction with the citizens of Huntsville.
