Author Chat Book Club: Carter Martin and "Zombie's Mandate: Find Billy Faulkner"

Never thought you'd read a zombie book?  This one may change your mind.  Novelist and poet Carter Martin weaves William Faulkner with zombies, a combination that may just surprise you.  A former UAH professor, Carter also happens to be a regional authority on Faulkner.  He'll join our discussion of his book.

Meet the Author: Dr. Sonnie Hereford

Huntsville Civil Rights activist Dr. Sonnie Hereford discusses his memoir, Beside the Troubled Waters.  Based on interviews conducted by Jack Ellis, the account spans much of Dr. Hereford’s life, from childhood to medical school, to his participation in the Huntsville Civil Rights movement, and after the end of segregation.

Books will be available for purchase and signing.

Our first featured book/ author is "Days of Little Texas" by R.A. Nelson. A ghost story, a romance, and a reckoning unlike anything you’ve read before.

Acclaimed YA author R. A. Nelson joins our discussion of his novel, set in the environs of the evangelical revival circuit and centered around Ronald Earl, who at ten became the electrifying “boy wonder” preacher known as Little Texas.
