Produced by Fitness Arts Center and performed at the Madison Public Library, this costumed interpretation of the Nutcracker will bring a delightfully Irish style to the holiday classic.

Meet the Feminist Chorus

This a capella women's chorus, which has been singing in Huntsville since 1993, will sing an hour of songs of peace, freedom, and women's empowerment.

Susanna Phillips: Life of an Opera Star

Internationally acclaimed opera star Susanna Phillips will talk about her career and perform selections from various roles in a family-friendly program on Saturday, August 25, from 11 a.m. to noon in the atrium of the main library, 915 Monroe St.

Microwave Dave heats up the library

A Visit with Harriet Tubman

This program, appropriate for all ages, features a re-enactment of famous abolitionist Harriet Tubman by local actor, Renee Mobley.   Renee’s beautiful and inspired portrayal of Harriet Tubman was very popular in 2011 and we are so glad she is back for 2012!  At the end of the performance she hosts a question and answer session where children and their families can ask questions about Harriet Tubman, history, and the civil rights movement. 

A Celebration of African American History through Dance

Join Dance Theater of Huntsville as they celebrate the African American History through dance.  During the Black History performance, they will present tributes to Gospel, Alvin Ailey,  African dance and Hip Hop.

Huntsville Spiritual Chorale performance

The Huntsville Spiritual Chorale will perform beautiful Negro Spirituals in honor of Black History Month.

The concert will begin at 6 pm in the atrium of the Main branch. It is free and open to the public.
