Contest: Art of the Jazz Age
The Huntsville-Madison County Public Library is soliciting original artwork for “Art of the Jazz Age,” a juried art show sponsored by the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library. This “Gatsby”-inspired art show will accept works related to the 1920s, jazz, The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald, or Zelda Fitzgerald and her art.

How has that changed us?
Since snapshot photography developed (no pun intended) in the late 19th century, the democratic idea of putting cameras in the hands of everyone who wants to point and shoot has revolutionized our visual imaging of family and friends. Hype that Ball! College Football Culture in Alabama
Join renowned Alabama Scholar Dr. Wayne Flynt, Professor Emeritus of History at Auburn University, as he explores the profound influence of college football on Alabama culture and society.
