Black History Month Storytime

Join us for a special storytime honoring some of our famous heroes. A craft will follow the storytime. (Storytime aimed at K-2nd graders.)

Author Visit with Keith Jacobs, author of "Alicia Without Sight and the Dreams She Dreams At Night"

Keith Jacobs, native Huntsvillian and author of "Alicia Without Sight and the Dreams She Dreams At Night" will be visiting the Main Library to read his book.  This amazing story describes what happens when a girl who has been blind since birth dreams.  " Alicia has been blind since birth and hears, tastes, smells, and feels her way through her dreams.  Every night her mind is filled with people, places, and things, that she knows, loves, and imagines.

Music & Movement Storytime

Ms Maggie will have a special music & movement storytime one saturday a month. (Activities are for 2-5 year olds.)

Music and Rhyme Storytime with the Tennessee Valley Jazz Society

Tennessee Valley Jazz Society will be visiting Music and Rhyme Storytime on Feb. 29 @ 10:30 am to teach preschool children and their families about Jazz.   They will bring a selection of Jazz instruments and talk about the importance of African Americans in Jazz music.

African American Authors Preschool Storytime

Celebrate African American History month with Storytime!  Enjoy some of your favorite stories written by African American authors.  Donald Crews, Jerry Pinkney,  Pat Cummings, and Julius Lester will all be part of this celebration of African American books for children.  

Once Upon A Time Music and Rhyme Storytime, featuring a visit from Princess Lenore!
