Book Explorers Present: Amazing Race, Library Style!

Bring your friends and form your teams for The Amazing Race.  We will be racing around the world via the Dewey Decimal system.  You will be solving puzzles, building crafts, creating international snacks, all in a race to get to first place!  Of course, everyone who participates is a winner!

Book Explorers Present: Dancing Around the World with NEEMA International Performing Arts Center

Book Explorers Present: Let's Explore Germany with the Friends of German Culture

Friends of German Culture is the local German American Association in Huntsville.  A representative will be on hand to show some of the native clothing, activities, and games German children enjoy.  You'll find out German kids are just like American kids: they love to have fun!  At the end you'll be able to sample some authentic German cuisine.

Book Explorers Present: A World of Magic, with local magician Mr. Krugh

A Visit with the Huntsville Irish Dancers

You've sat still all summer through the Super Duper Science Club programs.  Now it's time to get up and MOVE!  Join the Huntsville Irish Dancers as they demonstrate some of the moves of Irish Dance, teach a little bit about the Irish Culture, and then teach the audience some steps!

Super Duper Science Club Presents: Fossils from Around the World with Sci-Quest

Location: Main Library

Fossils tell us what kind of organisms once lived! Using the fossil record is a great way to track down Earth’s history. During this Sci-Quest program students will get to see and study real fossils, and make a model of a fossil.

Super Duper Science Club Presents: EMERGENCY!!! The Science behind ER Doctors and Ambulances

What's it like to be an ER Doctor?  What's it like to drive an ambulance?  What kind of equipment do you use? Join us as we hear from a local ER Doctor what her experiences in the ER are like.  Then hear from local HEMSI EMTs and even take a peek inside of an ambulance.

This event is appropriate for children in grades 3rd- 5th. 

Flag Day: Patriotic Concert

Location: Main Library

LearningQuest in partnership with Patriotic Organizations in the Community present:
A Rally 'Round the Flag Day, Tuesday June 14 to celebrate the 234th birthday of the American Flag.

Join the Sunshine Singers for a program of patriotic music representing all our wars.   Drinks and snacks will be provided.

Please note: To fully honor our nation's Flag, all regularly scheduled youth programs will be canceled.  We invite parents and children to participate in our Flag Day activities instead.
