This event is appropriate for those in grades 6-12.  There will be food, fun and music.  Live music starts at 7:30 p.m. featuring the Chris Shrader Band!  Be sure to bring lawn chairs!

Battle for the Library: Capture The Flag

2 Flags....1 Library.  On July 13, the battle will begin.  Come dressed to get wet and battle with water balloons.  This even is appropriate for grades 6-12.

Fueled Art

Join us in an evening of fun and art!  In a short 2 hours class, we will make a "Circle Tree" in the style of the artist Gustav Klimt. Picture a dark swirly tree, with lots of bright circles in the background. To help fuel your inspiration, we will provide plenty of coffee with all kinds of fun fixings! 

Summer Eats, Summer Treats Bake Off

What do you eat in the Summer Time?  Do you like recipes full of fresh fruits and veggies, or is ice cream more your thing?    Test your baking and cooking skills against your peers, and bring something to our Bake Off.  Then, at the bake off, test your tasting skills!  Info about the contest available at the front desk.

Library Luau Closing Party

Lost in the Water with the Search and Rescue Dogs

Location: Monrovia Public Library
Date: Thursday, June 24, 2010 - 1:00pm - 2:00pm

 Did you know that in our area, you are just as likely to get lost in the water as you are to be lost in the woods?  What should you do if you get lost?  Find out!  The trained Search Dogs of SARtec K-9 unit will be on hand to demonstrate Search and Rescue techniques.  This program is perfect for kids in grades K-5.  NOTE TO PARENTS: SARtec has requested that parents remain with children during this program.
