Book vs. Movie: A Christmas Carol

Join us for a brand new book club at Bailey Cove Library, "Book vs. Movie"! On odd months (September, November, January, etc.) we will watch a feature film that was adapted from the plot of a book.  On the even months (October, December, February, etc.) we will take an hour to discuss the book from which the film was derived, and decide which one wins in a contest of "book vs. movie". It is highly recommended that you read the book *before* attending the film for best results. Brown-bag lunches are welcome! Drinks will be provided.

Knitting Between the Lines: Empire of the Summer Moon

Join us this evening for a free art/craft "getaway" for grown-ups and teens each 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:00. This evening's them is: Make Your Own 2014 Calendar or Datebook! Supplies and beverages will be provided. Stay tuned for a new theme each month!

The class is for ages 15 through adult, and class size is limited to 30 participants. Please sign up at the front desk at  Bailey Cove Library,  or call 256-881-0257 to be added to the class!

Join us this evening for a free art/craft "getaway" for grown-ups and teens each 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:00. We will begin with a brief slide show of the wild world of artful holiday ornaments, from the silly to the sublime, followed by a demo of key techniques. Lastly, we will break out into groups or as individuals to create to your heart's content.  Supplies and beverages will be provided. Stay tuned for a new theme each month!

Studio Night @ Bailey Cove Library: Pumpkinology & Maskmaking

Location: Bailey Cove Branch Library
Date: Thursday, October 17, 2013 - 6:00pm - 7:30pm

Join us this evening for a free art/craft "getaway" for grown-ups each 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:00. We will begin with a brief slide show of the art of pumpkin carving and decorating, as well as the art and history of maskmaking.  Then we will then receive a demo of processes and techniques. Lastly, we will break out into groups or as individuals to create our own mask to wear for the spookiest of seasons!  Maskmaking supplies and beverages will be provided. Stay tuned for a new theme each month!
