American Red Cross Preparedness

Alabama is the second most disaster prone state in the United States next to Oklahoma, and Madison County is the most disaster prone county in Alabama. The American Red Cross is engaged inproviding Community Disaster Education, a program in which trained volunteers and/or staff meet with agencies, churches and organizations to present information on what disasters are, how to prepare for disasters, and how to cope with a disaster when we are confronted with one.

Classically trained Chinese watercolor artist Caroline Wang shows how to incorporporate Chinese calligraphy into watercolor paintings and apply it into many art forms.  Especially recommended for students with at least basic watercolor background, although all are welcome.  All supplies will be included.
