How to Do Things: Geocaching

Have you seen strangers investigating shrubbery, rocks, or lamp posts? Have you found a strange item in the woods?

Learn the basics of the Global Positioning System and the hi-tech game/sport/hobby of geocaching.

Use of individual GPS receivers will not be covered, but there will be some practice time.  Everyone is encouraged to bring a handheld GPS unit; there will be a short practice run after class. Please become familiar with your GPS ahead of time.
