Join us to watch the fascinating and educational documentary series, African American Lives, produced by PBS and hosted by Henry Louis Gates Jr.
On February 20th we will present the first two episodes in the series, Listening to Our Past and The Promise of Freedom.
On Febrary 27th we will present the second two episodes, Searching for Our Names and Beyond the Middle Passage.
Each episode is one hour long. We will have a brief intermission between the 2 episodes.
This event is free and open to the public. Both viewings will take place in the second floor events room of our Main branch.
This program is part of our Black History Month series of events. This year our programming is focusing on family, and African American genealogy.
