Girl Talk and Guy Talk are programs designed to help preteens and their parents prepare for adolescence. Classes are held separately for boys and girls accompanied by a parent. Topics of discussion include maturation and physical development, adolescent nutrition, emotional changes of puberty, self-esteem issues, peer pressure and decision-making. A professional in a comfortable, supportive environment teaches each class.
The Girl Talk/Guy Talk programs seek to educate children and their parents on the issues of adolescent maturation, and foster communication by opening avenues of dialogue between parent and child. Class size is limited, and the recommended age for participants is 9-12 years old, however classes are available for participants ages 11-13.
Cost: $35 per student
