The Dixie Derby Roller Derby League, LLC, is a 501(c) non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the long-lost sport of Roller Derby to life in Huntsville, AL. We are dedicated to running a safe, fun and professional league that gives girls of all shapes, skills and sizes a chance to enjoy roller derby. As members in good standing of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association, we foster and promote the growth of flat-track roller derby nationwide.

The WEDC Foundation was established in 1998 by the Women's Economic Development Council in Huntsville, Alabama as a separate 501 (c) (3) charitable organization The ongoing vision for the Foundation is to create a legacy of accomplished and independent women who will share their energy and success with others.
The WEDC Foundation provides financial assistance, mentors and professional development programs to women in Madison, Marshall, Morgan, and Limestone counties of north Alabama who are driven to overcome daunting hurdles and become economically independent by obtaining a college education or technical training.

The Foundation has served many deserving women with approximately $170,000 in scholarship awards. Primary funding is obtained through the Women Honoring Women Awards Celebration, which has grown to become one of Huntsville's most anticipated events. The Women Honoring Women event recognizes the current scholars and their mentors along with the selection of 6-7 women in Madison County who are recognize for their career success, their significant contributions to the community and overcoming their own significant obstacles to achieve their dreams. The WEDC Foundation takes nominations for the Women Honoring Women awards each year in late spring. For more information about the nomination process and a list of past Women Honoring Women Honorees, support the Foundation as a event sponsor, or purchase tickets or make a donation, review the Women Honoring Women Celebration information.
The WEDC continues to be a vital supporter of the WEDC Foundation and its mission through mentoring WEDC Foundation scholars and through financial and volunteer support of WEDC Foundation programs.
