Mark Twain and His Short Stories

There will be a brief overview of the life of Twain, followed by a review of some short stories from The Complete Short Stories of MARK TWAIN, edited by Charles Neider.

Presenter: Joe Berry

The short story review will include the hilarious "Cannibalism in the Cars" and, if time allows, a discussion of "The Man That Corrupted Hadleyburg," a story of the people of a small town who were pious to the point of being obnoxious and their fall from grace. It is both a story of humor and of the greed factor in all of us that we like to conceal, especially from ourselves. Twain had a good understanding of the human race!
