Plumbing the Depths of Mark Twain

Another great lecture by Dr. Jennifer Garlen! Mark Twain is best remembered today as a humorist, but his tone as a writer changed his perspective darkened over the course of his life. Dr. Jennifer Garlen will discuss the darker side of Twain in works like A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, The Mysterious Stranger, "The Man That Corrupted Hadleyburg" and more.
