Thursday Evening Concert: Rocket City Jazz plus Dancing with the Library Stars Contest

The party will "swing" into full gear at 6 pm in the Main library's atrium, when the Rocket City Jazz Orchestra takes the stage with their impressive repertoire of Big Band music. But what is Big Band music without dancing?

That's why we've invited the Huntsville Swing Dance Society  to partner with us again for our annual Dancing with the Library Stars contest. On October 7th, six couples will compete for a coveted prize of dinner for two at a fine local restaurant. The audience will act as the judges, voting for three finalists.  The finals will be held on the 14th, and the audience will choose the winner and the runner-up. 

The dancers will compete during the first four numbers on each evening.  After the contest portion each week, the dance floor will open to the public. So grab your favorite dance partner and swing your cares away!
