Basket Weaving Comes to Madison

Tap into your hidden personal talent under the instruction of artist Crystal Kitchens to make a round basket! Learn the necessary skill to handle basket reed, start a round basket and shape it into your personal handmade creation. The finished basket is approximately 6 inches tall with a 5-inch diameter base. Colored reeds and beads provide personal flair for those wanting to express themselves. A second basket can be started if time allows.

This workshop is for beginners. No experience is required. Basket making is wet work, so wear old clothes and bring a towel. All tools and other supplies are provided.

Join us at Madison Public Library on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 9am-3pm. A supply fee of $7 is due on the day of the event. Space is limited to 12 students ages 14 and up. Bring a sack lunch!
